This doily is stunning! I used to do a lot of crochet work as well. Some of my doilies I kept and use them under flower vases to protect the table top from water marks. Lots were given away to family and friends.
One thing I sometimes do, especially with Easter coming up: I lined baskets and bowls with a doily and placed colourful eggs or chocolate goodies in the basket/bowl. Makes a nice decoration. Or line a basket with a doily, put treats and small bouquets of picked flowers together, and then give it to some elderly neighbor as a treat. They'll be delighted!
Bonny! Had no idea you did Doilies! I given away many too! You beat to the Easter idea too! The other idea is: If you were thinking of something for yourself: You could keep it in a hat box. Fill it up and join them together for a great comforter for the coming Cold weather. I am giving up on Spring! Being in the North has twisted my head.
Years ago I sewed round doilies onto round potholders to make trivets -- they come in REAL handy, especially for holiday meals. I like Bonny's idea for lining baskets/bowls for decorations!

Awesome doily! I like the idea of framing it - then you can see it more than if it's something.
Also you could put it on an end table then put a piece of glass over it.
Have you considered drawing a corner of it? :)
What I meant was: more than if it's IN something.
SEND IT TO ME!! pink is my favorite color - and this is a very cool doily!
